HAY HILL GALLERY
About Us
Hay Hill Gallery is an art
gallery that was originally established in London in 2002. From 2002
to 2007, it focused on presenting Russian art, before shifting in
2008 to specialize in international and British contemporary and
modern artists.
The gallery represents a
range of internationally recognized artists and emphasizes
showcasing their work through personal exhibitions, often exploring
themes like human nature, urban life, fantasy, and cultural
influences.
It operated physical
spaces at various London addresses over the years, including 11B Hay
Hill (W1J 6DL) in Mayfair, two locations on Cork Street (5a and 23
Cork Street, W1S 3NY/NJ, from 2009-2012), and finally 35 Baker
Street (W1U 8EN) in Marylebone until its closure in July 2016 for
relocation.
Since then, it has
transitioned to primarily online operations, hosting virtual
exhibitions on its website (hayhill.com or hayhillgallery.com),
while occasionally participating in off-site shows.
Notable past exhibitions
include "Conversation with Ruskin" in 2019, which celebrated the
bicentenary of John Ruskin's birth and received support from Arts
Council England.
More recent online
personal exhibitions have featured artists such as Mel Smothers
("History Paintings," May-June 2025), Pancho Malezanov ("Untitled,"
September-October 2025), and Sergei Inkatov ("Alone With Time,"
July-August 2025).
Other represented artists
include Robert Bissell, Roger Aslin, Pejman Ebadi, David Michael
Bowers, Valentin Zenkovsky, Hideyuki Sobue, Tom Bushnell,
collaborative duo Dangerous Minds Artists (Michael Lake-McMillan and
Alan David Stuart) and many more.
Hay Hill Gallery presents
a number of remarkable sculptors such as Eleanor Cardozo, Nicola
Godden, Gianfranco Meggiato, Ian Edwards, Teresa Wells, Jamie
McCartney, Unus Safardiar, and others.
The gallery's proposal of
the posthumous cast bronzes of the famous sculptors Auguste Rodin
and Edgar Degas deserves special mention.
The gallery also supports
artists in external events, such as Helen Warner's participation in
the D31 Art Prize in 2021.
Currently, as of November
2025, the gallery continues to operate online exhibiting the artist
from Zambia Mclaudy Munanzwa (“Za Umoyo (For Life)”,
November-December 2025) and has ongoing off-site exhibitions,
including Ali Jabbar's paintings at Vintners Place (68 Upper Thames
Street, London EC4V 3BJ) from May to November 2025, and Tom
Bushnell's paintings at 9-15 Sackville Street (W1S 3DT) from July
2025 to January 2026.
The forthcoming
exhibitions have been planned already for a year ahead.
It maintains an active
presence on social media platforms like Instagram, X (formerly
Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, where it promotes its
artists and exhibitions.
