KENNETH WHYTE

Born in 1982, Kenneth Whyte completed his Masters degree at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in 2007.

His unusual works combine an architectural aesthetic with eighteenth and early nineteenth century landscape sensibilities. They reflect the artist’s interest in the philosophies of The Western Enlightenment and how they can still relate to the modern world. This clash of style belies a deeper harmony between the drive for political change, and the optimism and enthusiasm of an architectural imagination.

Whyte has exhibited throughout the UK and abroad, most notably as part of a group show of British and Spanish artists in the European Parliament building in Brussels. He lives and works in Glasgow.
