Summer 2014 Group Show
21 July - 23 August 2014

This July/August, summer descends on Hay Hill Gallery in the form of a brand new group show. Featuring a wild myriad of works, this is a stunning showcase for the artistic talent that the gallery currently represents. The world is viewed through the eye of each artist from all sorts of peculiar angles; microscopes and telescopes and horoscopes; satellite pictures and weather maps and cross- sections; futuristic utopian dreams, weird nightmarish creatures and the misty remnants of childhood fables.

Hay Hill Gallery’s artists have a reputation for originality and individual style, and those selected are no exception. Like visiting a library, each work can be stopped in front of and ‘read’ by the individual- the differing techniques, colours and authored images invite opinion and discussion simply by their contrast to each other. On every wall are brilliant and more fantastical stories to take in: there are dark creeping forests and sleazy urban landscapes; trippy diamond rainbows and computer generated visions; shining oil puddles that spill across triptychs, diptychs and quadriptychs.
The exhibition is held alongside a sculpture collection which features works by Oleg Prokofiev, Eleanor Cardozo, Nicola Godden, Richard L.Minns, Andy Cheese, Jamie McCartney, Ian Edwards, Gianfranco Meggiato, Massimiliano Cacchiarelli Principi, Palolo Valdés and Rachel Ann Stevenson.
