The Hay Hill Gallery present the artist
4 - 30 November 2013

Sparkles Series 08:43, oil on canvas, 110 x 110 cm

Galyna Aleksandrovna Moskvitina (Gala) is the Ukrainian painter and founder of laternative realism style.

Galyna Moskvitina was born in Kiev. She graduated from Ukrainian Printing and Graphic Institute qualifying as a graphic artist.

Galyna decided suddenly after 1991 to redirect her life towards an intense reflection on her own spirituality, and she withdrew from the art scene and her homeland. She spent the next fifteen years on a series of personal meditative pilgrimages in the monasteries of China and the ashrams of India, discovering ancient knowledge and experimenting with different practices that could lead to spiritual perfection.

At the same time, she continues to develop her artistic practice as a way of communicating to the wider world about the inner truths she has discovered.

Galyna Moskvitina belongs to objective artists, representatives of objective art. She works in laternative realism style.

The Sparkles Series
A sparkle is a momentary movement of power, an intentional attention, which creates and manifests a moment of eternity, a point of reference in the emptiness of potentiality. Meeting one’s own light, which creates and dissolves the worlds, is a mystery play of life, a dance of love between the moment and the eternity.

Hay Hill Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of its beautiful new gallery space at 35 Baker Street – one of the most prestigious, bustling areas London has to offer. The new gallery graces a striking more than 3,000 sq ft space representing a spectacular showcase with an ever-changing collection of sculptures and paintings.

Hay Hill Gallery is delighted to present the second in the UK personal exhibition of powerfully spiritual works by noted Ukrainian artist Galyna Moskvitina. Featuring the Laternative Realism style founded by the artist herself, Space of Light is the radiant result of her 15 year immersion into Eastern Philosophy.

You can find alongside the paintings in the gallery the wonderful sculptures of Eleanor Cardozo, Nicola Godden, Richard L.Minns, Andy Cheese, Jamie McCartney, Ian Edwards and Palolo Valdes.
